Salas:

2024

Saturday, 12 October 2024

Our fourth Sala featured Filipina poet Luna Sicat Cleto. Together with her translator, Annette Hug, she presented a collection of poems that was published this year: in “Offenes Meer”, where the Tagalog poems are found side by side with their German translation, she evokes memories of decisive events from the past 30 years. A lively and diverse crowd gathered in Zurich to kick off Luna’s tour across various stages in Europe.

Friday, 26 April 2024

At our third Sala entitled “Three Decades Later: The Persistent Challenge of Overcoming Perpetrator-Victim Narratives” Bettina Beer shared her findings on why the imagery portraying Filipinas as hopeless and helpless persists in the Western public perception.
