“Three Decades Later: The Persistent Challenge of Overcoming Perpetrator-Victim Narratives”

Our next Sala will be held in Lucerne and Bettina Beer will be giving a brief input on why the imagery portraying Filipinas as hopeless and helpless persists in the Western public perception. Afterwards, participants are invited to join an open discussion and a small potluck. Please read the full abstract of her input here.

The second edition of our Sala was on “The global care work economy: Philippine nurse migration to Europe” with an input by Stefanie Meier. 

It took place on the same night as our GA of 2023.

Our last General Assembly (GA) took place on Friday, 3 November 2023, at Lili’s Filipino Restaurant in Schlieren. Following the formal meeting, we will also held the 2nd edition of our Sala (formerly known as “Salon”), see below.
